FRESH HISTORIC FARMSTEAD

Our historic three-acre farmstead, initially constructed in 1816, was a full restoration project. Guided by old pictures and blueprints found in the attic, the project involved a complete gut renovation. While maintaining the original footprint, we meticulously reconstructed the house from the studs up. The restoration involved replacing the 12-over-12 windows with new energy-efficient ones in the same design and reinstating similar Dutch doors throughout.

To harmonize the main house, cottage, and additional outbuildings, we adopted a monochromatic palette of gray paint, unifying all elements. Given the low ceilings, we opted for a light palette, incorporating greiges, beiges, and delicate pastels of soft pinks, subtle lavenders and blues. The furnishings feature a blend of classic and simple lines that complement the updated millwork, which was streamlined and modernized yet retains its original character.
